Abstract

Drawing on the work of Anne Carson, Derek Walcott, Miguel James, Cody-Rose Clevidence, Tarfia Faizullah, Sylvia Plath, and Elizabeth Bishop, Errandsphere works within the tradition of the queer pastoral lyric, examining the edges and nodes of desire and asking how lineage informs the body, our relationships, and experiences of time. Through poems that operate in the spans of generations and seconds, this manuscript asks, what does love look like at the end of the world? And how do we make sense of our current realities when “the map that got us here / has its own long crack”?
